Japan: First Impressions

I'm overwhelmed. Each day for a different reason. Yesterday it was the famously busy Tokyo streets, millions of teens talking, giggling, flying around me in Shinjuku station, spinning me around and around as I searched for the exit. It was the exceptionally friendly locals inviting me to enjoy the cherry blossoms, walking together through small neighborhoods and teaching me their language. Today it's the beauty of the countryside and the simplicity of a small ryokan room and onsen bath.

Japan is overwhelming. It's the best word to describe it (though, if I got two, I might add: "delicious food").

The current view.
